Christmas at our house

Well, Christmas has come and gone for another short year. We have three cats who each take their turn at being sociable. Christmas Day was Herbie’s turn. He really likes the gifting thing.

Actually, there was a lot more to Christmas than Herbie opening gifts. Jennifer and Keith were “home for Christmas”. Had a great time. They arrived Friday and we attended All Nations Church presentation of The Living Nativity. ANC is my home church. It was Keith’s first attendance at the production and he was duly impressed… especially that it wasn’t a bitter cold night… Southerners 🙂 The presentation i always great and it shares the message of “The Reason for the Season” with the community. These are a few images from the evening. If you want to see the whole series, go to Community Events, All Nations Church, create an account, and then you are free to download images that are important to you.
Christmas at our house is not complete without eating way too many tasty calories. Arlene is an amazing baker of goodies (butter tarts, shortbread, Nanaimo Bars to make any Nanaimoite drool, and the world’s best Christmas cake) and cooker of super juicy tender turkeys… ours was only 29 lbs. (about 13.something kilos). Big turkeys have lots of stuffing… mmmmm!
